Recently, a company in the Advanced Manufacturing Development Zone of Gongyi City welcomed another group of guests who were inspecting the integrated light storage project. The project leader introduced the project to the guests while walking.
At the beginning of 2022, Henan Yuneng New Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Yuneng New Energy") reached a cooperation agreement with the enterprise, which dismantled the color steel tile roof and replaced it with a smart photovoltaic roof. The old factory was "transformed into a new appearance", and also achieved the first large-scale BIPV integrated storage project in Henan Province.
BIPV assists enterprises in green transformation
Traditional rooftop photovoltaics are the installation of photovoltaic panels on existing roofs. However, the color steel tile roof of the original factory building of the enterprise was severely corroded and worn. During preliminary communication, technical personnel from Yuneng New Energy proposed that the old roof could not safely support photovoltaic modules. If the color steel tile roof is replaced first and then the photovoltaic modules are laid, the construction cost will increase sharply and the construction period will be longer, which will affect normal production. In order to solve this problem, a new type of BIPV technology was ultimately adopted, which dismantled the more than 100000 square meters of color steel tile roofs in the old factory area of the enterprise and replaced them with photovoltaic roofs, achieving building photovoltaic integration.
The photovoltaic power generation of this project can reach 18 million kilowatt hours in the first year, significantly reducing the amount of thermal power purchased by the enterprise from the grid and helping it transition to a green factory.
Technology empowers secure operations
For industry and commerce, although clean energy sources such as photovoltaics have significant benefits, their instability is also objectively present. To solve this problem, supporting energy storage is imperative. The electrochemical energy storage system supporting this project effectively enhances the regional new energy consumption capacity, leverages the peak shaving and valley filling functions of the power grid, and enhances power supply reliability.
At the same time, adopting the technologically advanced AI arc protection function inverter, intelligent remote monitoring is achieved, bringing comprehensive upgraded protection. By using AI models for continuous, efficient and accurate detection, as well as rapid automatic disconnection, an intelligent security protection system is implemented to ensure system security. By configuring intelligent devices such as optimizers, the installed capacity and power generation can be effectively increased.
In addition, establishing a distributed photovoltaic management system to achieve efficient operation and maintenance can improve operation and maintenance efficiency by more than 50% through component level refined management, full power plant I-V scanning, and other functions, helping to promote the digital, intelligent, and integrated development of energy business.
The first year power generation of the BIPV integrated solar energy storage project can reach 18 million kilowatt hours, and the average annual discharge of the energy storage power station is 412 kilowatt hours. Due to spontaneous self use and surplus electricity being connected to the grid, the electricity price is significantly lower than the industrial and commercial electricity price, which can save enterprises about 3.5 million yuan in electricity bills annually.
In addition, there is also income from energy storage electricity prices. According to the latest time of use electricity price policy in Henan Province, industrial and commercial enterprises implement phased tiered electricity prices, divided into four levels: peak and flat. The energy storage power station of this project adopts a "peak valley arbitrage, two charging and two discharging" model, and the profit earned from the difference in electricity prices is partially owned by the enterprise. This additional income can be said to be a "surprise" brought by the integrated light storage project.
